I am elated at receiving an Honorable Mention at the (MPSGS) 76th International Exhibition of Fine Art in Miniature 2009 for this painting. This piece is a study of light on flesh. A friend photographed me posing for my drawing group and I was inspired to do this self portrait using his photos as reference. I love the way I look in candle light! Softens those sneaky fine lines that are creeping up on me. Oil on ivorine. Framed in a vintage miniature frame (see previous page to see this fabulous frame). Sorry this frame is not suitable for a miniature dollhouse due to scale. It can hang on your wall or displayed on a small easel. Does not include any easel. Currently in the "Sudden Voices" Art Exhibit at the Mendocino Art Gallery until August 1st, 2010. http://www.mendocinoartcenter.org/ This piece is a one of a kind painting and is offered on a "first come, first served" basis.
